Can you believe we’re already a quarter of the way through 2024?! As we get ready to launch into April, now is a great time to look back on the goals we set for ourselves at the beginning of the year. Are we on track? Do we need a little extra push to keep going? As we journey through our lives, it’s natural for our goals, motivations, and priorities to change over time. That’s why it’s so important to periodically re-evaluate our goals, assess our progress, and recalibrate our plans to ensure we stay motivated and on track. In this blog post, we’ll explore the importance of re-evaluating your fitness goals at different times during the year and provide suggestions on how to re-focus your energy and keep yourself motivated along the way.

Why Re-evaluate Your Goals?

Re-evaluating your fitness goals isn’t about admitting defeat or giving up on your aspirations—it’s about acknowledging growth, embracing change, and setting yourself up for continued success. Here are a few reasons why re-evaluating your goals is so important:

  1. Reflect on Progress: Periodically assessing your progress allows you to celebrate your achievements and identify areas where you’ve excelled or fallen short. This reflection can help you gain valuable insights into what’s working well and what may need a little adjusting.

  1. Reflect on Your Why: Take some time to reflect on why you started your fitness journey in the first place. Why did you choose Elevate? What motivated you to set your initial goals? By reconnecting with your underlying motivations and aspirations, you can reignite your sense of purpose and drive to achieve your goals.
  2. Set SMART Goals: SMART goals are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound. Take a fresh look at your goals and ensure they meet these criteria. Break down larger goals into smaller, actionable steps, and set deadlines to keep yourself accountable.
  3. Track Your Progress: Keep track of your progress so you can see the small wins and keep yourself challenged. We encourage tracking your workouts in Zen Planner so that you always know where you’re at. Seeing tangible results can boost your confidence and motivation to keep pushing forward.
  4. Mix Things Up: If you find yourself feeling bored with your current routine, it may be time to mix things up. If you’re normally in a 5:30am class, see if you can fit Noon into your schedule. It’s a great way to make new friends too!!
  5. Find a Support System: It’s so important to surround yourself with like-minded individuals who share your passion for fitness and can provide encouragement, support, and accountability. Luckily, you already know you’ve got ALL of that at Elevate!! Make sure you lean into your support system. Having a strong one can help keep you motivated and accountable.
  6. Practice Self-Compassion: Be kind to yourself throughout your fitness journey, especially during times of re-evaluation and recalibration. Embrace setbacks as learning opportunities, and remember that progress is rarely linear. Celebrate your efforts, no matter how small, and recognize that every step forward is a step closer to your goals.

HOLD / FREEZE POLICY

You may request for a hold to be placed on your membership for a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of 90 days ONCE during the agreement term. The fee for this hold is $20 per month of freeze, which will be debited from the payment method on file. In order to place a hold, you must submit a request via this online Hold Form. When the requested hold period expires, your account will return to its original billing frequency. If you wish to cancel this membership agreement during or after the hold period ends, the 30 day cancellation notice is still in effect.

CANCELLATION POLICY

You may cancel this agreement at any time prior to midnight of the third business day following the execution of this agreement, excluding Sundays and Holidays. If you choose to cancel your membership agreement a 30-Day Notification to CANCEL Membership must be submitted either writing and delivered using the post office OR using this online cancellation form. Any questions or concerns can be sent to info@elevatestpete.fit. Elevate St. Pete is located at 1150 94th Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33702. There is no additional penalty fee to cancel, but your original membership rate is subject to change if you cancel and return at a later date.
